intergrity sample

WALT: communicate a message with others.
WALT: show integrity.
How i show intergrity: I show intergrity by respecting the environment of poutama.

DESCRIPTION: We have been learning about integrity.  We want to share our understanding with others.
Here is the story board we made to remember our purpose.

Here is a video

If you cant see this you can use this link.

Evaluation: I think I did well in the video by making sure that everyone got a chance to make up there own line. But I think we could of done better at the sound.
Walt : communicate a me=ssage with others.
Create a story board showing the beginning, middle and end of our message.
I think that we could have done a better ending.
Use Puppet Pals as a tool to share our message
I think puppet pals helped us a lot
Keep our audience engaged.
I think we could do a bit better a keeping the audience engaged

WALT: show integrity
Everyone in our group has contributed evenly
yes I think we have done this
Integrity is the main theme of our message.
I dont think we have done this

Feedback/feedfoward :Very good Aria. Next time you could get the real cross country and take a picture of it and use that.
Cheers Tabitha :)

Science sample

WALT: show our understanding of how energy works.

DESCRIPTION: Each week we have been learning about a different type of energy.  For example, States of Matter, Kinetic and Potential, Radiation, Conduction and Convection.

Gathering Data
I can gather information using my 5 senses
I can gather information to make a prediction
I can use my information to draw conclusions
I can share my findings using evidence I have gathered

Task: Make a video (no longer than 30 seconds) about on example of
energy. i.e. States of matter, Potential and Kinetic energy, Newtons Cradle or forms of energy like Radiation, Convection, Conduction.

What makes a good video:
- clear voices
- different camera angles
- Still camera skills
- mute background noise
- mixture of still and moving images
- background distractions
- music

What makes a good poster:
- clear writing
- detail
- images
- interactive

Evaluation: I think I did well at making it interactive because we did lift the flaps Next time we would make the writing more clear.

Feedback/Feed Forward:  I like the way you have I think you did good you just need to make you writing more clear.

Writing sample

WALT: inform
DESCRIPTION: Write an explanation about something you have learned about energy.

How does a newtons cradle work?

A newtons cradle has five balls, when you pick up one of the end balls up and drop it your making kinetic energy. Then the end balls goes up and down.

It does that because the kinetic energy goes through the balls to get to the end ball. Then that ball goes up.

The balls are hanged by string with metal balls at the ends. The person who invented this was called Isaac Newton. After he made this he got famous. So he got called sir Isaac Newton.

The cradle was named after him as the newtons cradle. The newtons cradle shows kinetic and potential energy. When you pick up two balls and let go it go it ends up with three. That happens because of kinetic energy, it's moving from the other side.

For the newtons cradle to work the balls need to be the same height. This cradle has the middle going to the Side that has got there first. If you have a line of laptops and push it, it won't be like a Newtons cradle it will all fall down.

A newtons cradle is unquike by how it shows kinetic and potential energy. We can't see the kinetic
energy going through the balls.

Evaluation: I think I could do better at making it have more detail because I don't explain very well.
Feedback/ feed foward: I think that aria has done a great job but next time mabye a image. From Katie

Writers notebook

WALT: collect ideas or experience

Here is a picture that I drew of me doing something naughty like arguing with my sister.
Evaluation: I think I could do a bit better of the drawing and explaining.
Feedback: You did a lot of hard work in writers notebook. You don't need to work on anything. Sophie

My literacy sample

WALT: rote learning
Task: Make a mnemonic to help us learn our spelling words as a memory aid.
Here is my puplished mnemonic poster

These are the draft that I did

We did this so we would remember our spelling words.
We got one of our spelling words and we got words that started with the letters of our spelling word. But you need to make it make sense.
I learned how to make a mnemonic and what it is.
Reflection: I found making the sentences make sense hard because I have long words like
Feedback: Wow Aria you have done a really good  job.
I like the mnemonic about franticly!!! Sophie

You could do this at home just get a word and make a mnemonic. By getting a word and getting the first letter of a word that matchs the letters in the word.
